How to fix Helios 300 FPS drop in games while plugged-in?

model - PH315-52
Processor - i5 9300-h
RAM- 16GB
Graphics - 1660ti 6gb

Games are working fine in battery power but when its plugged in FPS drops too much. Its a new laptop and i have tried most of the available troubleshooting options like power settings , bios update, graphics driver update, even reset windows 10 nothing is working.

@ryoken096.if you can replace this laptop then replace. If you can't replace give to acer service centre they will do thermal repast.

CPU - 80
GPU - idle
while Gameplay
CPU - 90 above

@ryoken096 Then this is because of temperature.CPU/GPU clock decreases when temperature goes 90+C. play while turn on cool boost in predator sense.if that doesn't work then thermal repasting is permanent solution in this case

Same with Cool BOOST , The cpu temp is getting down to below 80 overtime(with out coolboost) but gpu stays above 90 while plugin gameplay. The laptop is new its been only 5 days and i don't have any clue about thermal repasting should i give it in acer care center or replace the laptop with new one?

Sorry my mistake there cpu temp while idle is 50 not 80

Do you have Nvidia software ?
