Hi Acer users, I would like to share with you the errors I found in BIOS 1.31 version in Acer Aspire E5-553G. After updating the BIOS from 1.19 to 1.31, a warm-up problem occurred. The problem is in BIOS version 1.31. I can control the fan with the NotebookFanControl app and the fan is OK. 62,5% work if I don't control the fan. With the application, I can bring the fan speed to 100%. The application works with Aspire E5 575G config file. Because 553G and 575G components are the same. I am sure this problem is caused by BIOS version 1.31. How many times have I reported the error in Acer's e-mail, but they didn't care about me. Hopefully they will read this post and release a new BIOS update.

In the picture above, Fan Control application is not active only in reading mode. When inactive, the fan speed does not exceed 62,5%. But when it is active, it works at 100% speed as in the picture below, there is no heating problem.

Windows notifies me of a warning. I don't know if this is from the application I'm using but it tells me there is a problem in the BIOS.

Says: The attached controller (EC) returned data, even if it was not requested. The BIOS might be trying to access EC without syncing with the operating system. These data will be ignored. No further action is required; however, you need to consult your computer manufacturer for the updated BIOS.

Acer needs to solve this problem, but I just can't get to them. I send e-mail, but I cannot get a positive answer.

Try this. Jack E/NJ( 1) Unzip the v1.19 download.
( 2) Run the executable EXE file.
( 3) Keep error message box open.
( 4) Then open FileExplore.
( 5) Search C:\users folder and subfolders for a 'H2O*.EXE' file.
( 6) Copy entire subfolder with the H2O*.EXE file to some other place on the HDD or SSD. Don't forget where you put this copied folder.
( 7) Close error message box in step ( 3).
( 8) Open copied folder from step ( 6)
( 9) Open initialization INI file with notepad.
(10) Edit format section from XN.NN to XN.DD.
