Hello!

Acer Aspire 7 Ultra Slim 15.6" FHD IPS Display/ Ci7 9750H/GTX 1650 4GB/ 16GB Ram/ 512 SSD/ Windows 10, Black

My laptop was purchased brand new and now has been in use under 3 months. My battery is no longer charging even if power adapter is fully functional and orange LED indicates that it's charging. My laptop doesn't have a pinhole reset button and I've tried multiple times to do a full reboot and battery reset by pressing down power button for 15 secs... This shouldn't be happening on a $1400 machine... This item is still under warranty. That being said, I'm not paying a dime to have it shipped back to ACER to be repaired. Case is already open with ACER (not impressed). ANY ideas/ thoughts would be much appreciated.

    Good afternoon samrock !

Firstly, ALL and ANY computational equipment, whatever the company is, is subject to some problem during its useful life, whatever the value.

Which EXACT model of your laptop?
Have you tried to uninstall the battery AC controller in the device manager, turn off the device, disconnect from the power outlet, press the power for 30 seconds and turn on and do a test?

    Hi Maclane,

Thanks for the prompt response. My model number is A715-74G-72GL

    Acer Aspire 7 Ultra Slim 15.6" FHD IPS Display/ Ci7 9750H/GTX 1650 4GB/ 16GB Ram/ 512 SSD

If I uninstall the battery AC controller from device manager, how will I be able to re-install if my battery dies trying to reboot (given that it's not charging when plugged in and very little charge remains as a consequence). Would uninstalling the battery AC controller prevent my computer from turning on (if batt is completely dead) even when pluggeg in to AC?

thanks for the patience (not the most tech savy here...)

As soon as you uninstall the controller, the system will automatically correct any existing read errors and reinstall.
There is no problem or risk

I tried several times what you suggested and there is no change... I have also done the ''troubleshooting'' for power and have found no issues. The battery is still not charging... Thoughts?
