I have had the Predator PT515-51 model (Triton 500 RTX 2060 512GB ssd) model for about a year now and I am planning to upgrade my SSD. On Acer's site, they say that the Triton 500 (my model) has 1 512 GB sad stick with one slot completely free. I was wondering if this is true because I have heard that the triton 500 runs RAID 0 and in fact has 2 256 GB sticks.

sidd328 Theres not any acer specific software only yourself with your full model number or serial on acer support website but even so it will not give you the complete specs and the service guides are only one for all variants so getting the exact detailed specs only acer support would be probably able to give you but i wouldnt even worry about it youre fine :)

And you can see in the bios your exact specs or with hwinfo it will tell you exactly all the components you have with detailed info on each one

PS: Could you please stop rejecting answers you are damaging out rep points every time you reject an answer we get points taken out if you dont think its correct do not do anything just leave it and only accept as solved the answer(s) you find that solved your issues so everyone else with similar ones can find it quickly :)

sidd328 2 X m.2 slots up to 2tb some models might come in raid0 some might not that depends on each country configuration (i dont recommend raid 0 anyway)  its not safe if the raid array breaks you will loose all your data it will be irrecoverable (only by data recovery specialists that will charge huge sums of money) check your hardware specs with hwinfo and identify how many drives you have :)

Yea I checked my model info and it says there is one 512 GB stick. I'm not asking how many slots there are, I'm asking how many sad sticks there are.
In my model info I see 1 stick, but for the same model I see different YouTubers and images showing that there are 2 256 GB sticks in RAID 0.
Is there any way for me to find out if I have RAID 0 or if I don't?

I think you are confused. You have one 512gb SSD stick in one M2 slot and you have one empty M2 slot for NVMe PCIe SSD. As my colleague says forget Raid 0, not only for the reasons he gives but also it is obvious from the initial question you asked that your level of computer is experience is not sufficient for you to even consider Raid. Just get a 2tb NVMe PCIe SSD, the difference is negligible anyhow

Please click YES if I answered your question

Thank you and have a blessed day  B)

I don't think you get my question. According to Acer's website, my model Predator Triton 500 PT515-51 comes preinstalled with RAID 0.
But on multiple other forums I have read that, this is not always true and depending on the region your configuration may change
So I was wondering if there is any way for me to find out if my setup is in RAID 0.
I am not trying to convert my setup to RAID 0, in fact it is better for me to not have RAID 0 as that makes upgrading ssd easier.
Please answers questions you have fully understood as it may confuse the person asking the question even more if you give a wrong answer

sidd328 seems to me youre the one that didnt understood :) as i previously said all models have many variants this means they have different configurations depending on each country (even in the same country might have multiple variants/configurations) if yours only have one single m.2 used thats is and its really good you should be happy with it as you can use the second one easily to upgrade your storage without having to reinstall windows if you had a raid 0 configuration its much more complicated you would have to completely format windows to remove the raid array for ex if you would only wanted to upgrade one of the drivers in raid

And i can also tell you that officially on the acer dashboard (only accessible to staff and ACES) there are 29 variants of that same model as you can see below this means the same model has 29 different configurations spread around by many countries and what it says on acer website depending on which country are you in its only models for that exact country which may even be more different configurations that do not show up there whats there its just basically a guide to some variants not all variants are there

Anyway hope this clarifies your question because in my view theres nothing else that could be explained here :)

Yes I understand that there are multiple configurations. My question is how can I find out which configuration I have without opening up my laptop.
Is there any software that can tell me?

Yes this is what I was looking for
    I will look into hwinfo
And the only reason I tag answer right or wrong is so that if anyone else comes across this issue they will be able to identify the correct answer. I am not trying to damage anyone's reputation :)
