About 2 months ago, as I was working on my homework, I spilled a glass of water next to me on my laptop. The laptop survived the initial spill but as water slipped between the keys and into the board area, the screen flashed grey with spooky lines and then switched off. I restarted my laptop multiple times but the screen was just dead. Since then, I've placed my laptop in my closet and purchased a new laptop, but as I was cleaning my room, I pulled out the laptop to see if I could recover any files, and to my surprise it turned on! It worked at its full capacity (it's pretty slow) and performed all of your regular computer functions.

In fact, I wrote this on my Acer.

Do you guys know what happened????

it dried out in your closet, so any shorts from residue liquid ceased and it worked again.  But, with water damage on circuit boards, often the lifespan gets reduced due to quicker corrosion.

I am also wondering something else, My Aspire A3 says It has 8GB of DDR4 and a 3.10 GHZ Processor yet it is wayyyyy slower then my 2012 Mac book Pro with 8GB DDR3 and a 2.7 GHZ I7 so is there anyway to make it faster (I wanna play shooters but my Aspire can barely handle having 3-4 tabs openn at once
