My acer nitro 5 had the harddrive die. I replaced it and installed all the right drivers and the newest windows 10 version. Now nothing wants to run proper. Even sitting on the menu screen of state of decay 2 my gpu sits at 100% usage on with the graphics on their lowest setting meanwhile the cpu sits at about 25% and peaks at 60% during intense times in the game, I love playing games especially with my little brother but sadly I've had to stop since my laptop can barely handle stick fight please if any suggestions let me know

I forgot to include it in the post but here is a picture of my screen with the statistics pulled up all it's doing is sitting on the menu screen of state of decay 2 in the background. As you can see it hits 100% but barely uses its 4gbs of vram

Make sure you are on High Performance in Nitrosense and Windows Power Plan
Always game with your battery charged to 100% BEFORE gaming and KEEP plugged in while gaming

I've tried the power plan setting and it didnt change the performance at all and my battery is plugged in and at 100% sadly there is no change in fps. although I did realize that my gpu is only drawing 40-50 watts instead of the 50-60 watts its rated to pull under full load.

I just ran a stress test and my 560x jumps from 100% load to 5-8% load and that's when it lags and stutters, any idea why this would be happening?

What are your temperatures at the time of the fps drop?

So it isn't Thermal throttling, you may have a corrupt AMD driver installation. Download DDU and reboot into Safe Mode and run DDU to do a clean uninstall of your AMD drivers, then reboot into Normal Mode
    https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Then follow my walkthrough to reinstall and set up the 2020 AMD Control Center

Click the link below to download the 2020 Control Center and the latest drivers for the RX560x will be automatically installed
    https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-20-3-1

First make sure you game with your battery charged to 100% BEFORE gaming and KEEP plugged into the main AC power while gaming. Make sure "High Performance when on AC", is selected in your Windows Power Plan and in Nitrosense. If you fail to do this your CPU will run at around 50% of capacity and you will experience poor game performance

Open the New AMD 2020 Control Center and click the GAMING tab then click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and select ADD A GAME, navigate to your games .exe file and double click it to add it, or you can select SCAN FOR GAMES and let the Control Center search your harddrive for games to add. After successfully adding the game click on the game and you will be taken to another window and click the LAUNCH GAME tab.
Only in this way will your games use the Discrete Rx560x GPU, NEVER launch your game through a desktop shortcut or any other way, do it in the manner I have described.

Please remember that online gaming may experience low fps and stutter due to the games servers and bottlenecking and that has nothing to do with your GPU.
