Laptop pulley broke suddenly?

Hello guys,

I own a Aspire E 15 (E5-575G-50BT) and now, after 2 years, the pulley used to roll the opening and closing of the lid simply broke.
I went to open the lid and the case around the monitor simply CRACKED OPEN. This is no big deal, since this is a docked case. But, the reason why this happened was that the pulley stuck and didnt roll anymore. I own a Samsung RF511 for 8 years now, which currently it is with my 8 years old son has the pulley in perfect state. I had really bad brands when I was a teenager and NEVER had such issue. I was wondering if anyone had anything similar with Acer.
After the issue, I noticed that everything is made of plastic, as opposed to metal ones in Samsung. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! And for SOME REASON I didnt notice when purchasing it. I invested a quite good money expanding the capacity of this laptop to be left with this EXTERNAL **** problem.
So I want to know if anyone can advise, share your experience and/or tell me if Acer it is like this?
I sent a request for technical support. Just WONDERING how much it will cost me as the warranty just expired.

Thank you!

Yes but you can fix it yourself. Order the parts and I will walk you through it

    Do you think?
It is connected to the monitor, I am afraid it may damage any pixel if I do something wrong!
Which tools will I need to fix it other than the parts to be replaced? Or it is everything docked and I dont need specific tools?
