I have a Nitro 5 and noticed that the USB-C doesn't register external monitors from my Targus display link docking station. I tried the USB 3.0 port instead and the computer plasy the new device add sound, flickers showing the screen on the two external monitors, plays the device removed sound a few times, then the screens go dark and it returns to the single display. All the software is up-to-date drivers included. Is there a way to get the Nitro to display on multiple screens through a docking station? If not I'll have to return the laptop asap

What is your full Nitro 5 model number?  AN51x-xx? Jack E/NJ

After talking with tech support apparently none of the USB ports output display. All 4 ports are for data transfer only, which unfortunately means no extended display outside of the single HDMI port. This is for the Ryzen 5 3550h Nitro model.

Sorry. There are many Nitro 5 models with this exact same AMD chipset. I can only confirm what tech support is telling you if I know your full Nitro 5 model number?  AN51x-xx? Otherwise, you should immediately return it to the vendor/seller before its RMA policy period expires. Jack E/NJ

@JackE When the tech support agent told me that, I did return the laptop. As I need an extended display to work properly. Do you know of any Nitro 5 pcs that have outputs from their USB ports? Would the one marked new on the Acer website with the Ryzen 7 processor have it? I can't find where that specification is mentioned on the spec sheets.

ACER's got so many different new Nitros with Ryzen7 chipsets on so many different ACER websites that it'd be helpful if you could post the link to the one you're  interested in. Or maybe even it's ACER part number or full model number that's usually listed on ACER websites. Then I could, as they might say, try to look it up for you    :) Jack E/NJ

@JackE It's literally the only Ryzen 7 Nitro 5 model on the official Acer website that has the badge "new" on it...

At time of writing at least, so that said here is the link: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/NH.Q5YAA.004

If possible, could point out where the display out for USBs are mentioned in specifications or does one need to assume it's not possible unless specifically mentioned? From recent research it appears manufactures aren't relaying such info easily or obviously. Thanks for the help!

Where did you find that I/O Ports section at? Unless it's hidden on mobile browsers or on an external site I can't seem to find it anywhere.

And what a shame to have a good laptop that can't have multi-screens when you need to do work. Thanks for sharing!
