It is said that everyone is wiser after the event. My ACER E5 laptop - fairly new - did not have the current leak - tingling -  problem initially. My former Dell laptop also did not have that issue at all up to the time I shelved it. The ACER has now developed the problem and I feel a tingling sensation from time to time. Its not life threatening since the voltage is small but disconcerting. In any case it should never happen in this day and age whether or not you have GFCI or whatever. The entire system from plug to laptop should ensure 100% safety for all users whether in New York or the Sahara Desert.  Looks like we are in an age where production speed and sales matter more than user safety. Brings to mind the Boeing Super Max issues. Not good at all.

I agree that it should not be happening however it is not exactly a Boeing Supermax issue or a production speed issue. To the best of my knowledge this is the 1st time this issue has ever been reported on this Forum. As with all electronic equipment things can go wrong but this is an isolated incident and not because of a major design flaw that many people are experiencing. Return it under warranty for repair.

I am not an ACER employee
Thank you and have a blessed day  B)
