Need help in fixing thermal pads. i think i i have messed up with the size of the pads

    @Rinji07 hey, sorry for reviving an old post, recently i had opened my predator (same model as yours) and tried cleaning its fans and tried applying the thermal paste and pads, i think i i have messed up with the size of the pads, as i can see cpu temps have reduced due to new paste (around 60 degree on games like assasin creed) but temperature of gpu keeps on increasing till it reaches 94 degrees and blue screen appears, can you tell me exactly what sizes you used and where did you applied

    It would be much appreciated as acer service center told me they need to replace the heat sink completely which i dont understand, as fans are working properly,

    Ankit_001 yup that seems about right as they dont have thermal pads either they would replace the full component as this one brings the correct thermal pads from the manufacturer (probably already applied) and thats also why theres not any sizes on any service guides neither how to replace them because only the manufacturers haven them sent with the complete component
