Hi, happy to be here, especially after doing some tiring web searches.
This lap hasn't been used for a year or so, but it's having the same issue today as before: after the logo screen, comes a black screen. Even a valid Windows 10 1903 image (usb stick) isn't working: files are loading but finally the black screen again (Win10 64 bit). When I try the Win10 32bit it throws an error. Exact error type I can't recall right now (I could attach a photo if you like).
Luckily I have access to bios (version 1.02). Tried switching to Legacy mode which gives a "no bootable device" message.
After some googling, tried flashing bios with the appropriate .fd file (tried ver 1.02 - DOMBH102.fd, 1.05, 1.06) from the Acer support page (having extracted it from the .exe). Pressing Fn+Esc on power-up yielded no result. At first it seemed like something is happening, but when I let go of Fn+Esc the black screen reappears. It may be that I need to rename the .fd file? If so then what name? But the thread I read was for another model (E5 I think) so I don't know if applicable for the es1-571.

I'm in the process of creating a new Win10-image usb stick (media creation tool) to try it out.
But I'm skeptical, having tried so many things. I'm even considering getting a bios programmer - that test clip for flashing IC chip (soic8 etc.) but I can't really tell where is the bios on the mobo lol...And have never done it before.
My feel is bios got partially corrupt after some Windows update over a year ago (according to some people. Sorry I didn't keep the links).

Eagerly waiting your enlightening answers. It's a good lap so it'll be a shame to scrap it.
Thanks,

    Hi!!

    @Asafus

As a work around. I recommend you to please remove the RAM [using the RAM compartment at back of laptop] for a minute & and then re-insert it back in to your computer. Later please try booting up and check what happens.

Why do you think it's the BIOS? I think it's a Win 10 System problem. To get past the black screen and get to the recovery screen, at the black screen press and hold the power button until the unit turns off, power on and repeat twice more, at the 3rd attempt it should boot to a blue recovery screen with options. If it does let me know and we will go to the next step

Thanks alot for your feedback, Balatekie.
It seems the ram can be reached only by disassembling the mobo. No compartment..
So I'll do it and report back.🙂

    The ram trick didn't work.

A disinformation from my side: in uefi mode i get   ' no bootable device'.  In legacy mode it gives the black screen. Still i tried your advise andylb but to no avail.

    @andylb Here's an update:
I followed your line of thought so i tried booting from a Win7 image and it was successfull! So this means BIOS is in tact?
Please advise what would be the best next step.
    All the best :)

So as of right now you have successfully booted into Win 7 with no problems?
I know this sounds weird because you already have a copy of Win 10 but I want to use a backdoor route and take advantage of the Win 7 to Win 10 free upgrade which is still available

It isn't weird i think, because what's the alternative?
I'll try this with Win7. Thank you.

However, i was hopeful that the 1909 Win10 image would load files normally and let me make a clean installation. But it's taking ages to download for some reason, so i still don't have it on a stick.

Latest Win10 1909 didn't boot well. Same thing- loading files then Again the black screen.

Now , the Win7 i successfully booted into before is actually in Hebrew. If i install that, would it let me upgrade to Win10 English? (I have no need of Hebrew).

I have another Win7 image in English, but it does not boot well: after loading files it gives a bsod. On my Dell (Win10) it boots normally though.

So I'm quite confused about what's going on.
Would it be wise to use the bootable Win7 Hebrew to just format the hdd then try again the Win10?

I'm really appreciating the time, energy and knowledge you are spending to try to save this one computer .

Win 7 Hebrew to Win 10 English is a new one on me however If i remember correctly that after the install and during the setup you are prompted to select a language, if not you can do it after setup (see below) so give it a try

    Changing system language
    1. Open Settings.
    2. Click on Time & Language.
    3. Click on Language.
    4. Under the "Preferred languages" section, click the Add a preferred language button. ...
    5. Search for the language you want on Windows 10.
    6. Select the language package from the result. ...
    7. Click the Next button.

The language option is not there at setup. It's strictly hebrew.
You did not refer to my idea of formatting (using cmd and diskpart) then trying win10 again?

Yes you could use the win 7 Hebrew to format the drive it's worth a shot.

Hi there, sad to say the Win7 installation failed, with a BSOD.
An attempt to format the hdd then booting from Win10 image failed as well.

I guess my initial post was too long and so not many have read it. I'd like then to rewrite it in a brief and concise form, if that is accepted here.
Or else start a new thread?
    Thanks for all your help!
