I've downloaded a BIOS/UEFI 1.21 version firmware from the Acer official site https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7679?b=1.
Then, tried to "flash" the firmware to my Acer Swift SF714-51T laptop by running ZDJ-121.exe. After flashloading the system rebooted and I got 'Invalid firmware image' blue window. After the reboot the system started but the UEFI version left the same (not updated).

Do I update the UEFI correctly and there is a problem with 1.21 image? What is working way to update the UEFI at my laptop? My current version is 1.19 and there is only one next version available from Acer.

The latest version solves the problem of the current. So, the question is how to make and update. The way I initially described does not work.
  • OK! This is actually this "BIOS update
Support capsule update progress bar. "The update of the capsule has to do with the fact that windows update can update the bios, through the firmware driver. Is there a firmware driver in the device manager?

If any, try to update the firmware driver as the bios will also be updated. But remember, this procedure is risky and I am not responsible for any damage. You must let the battery charge 100% and the notebook connected to the adapter. I do not advise updating the bios, if there is no need.

Had a battle with Invalid Firmware Image yesterday on an Acer E1-772 to 1.03.

Ended up switching from UEFI to Legacy bios and flashing from Hiren WinPE media.

Resolved page fault in nonpaged area on Win 10 21H2.

Hello. I have the same problem with this model. On a bios 1.03 board - it only manages to boot in legacy mode. An attempt to flash 1.03 with the latest bios 1.03 also fails - the same version .. how to deal with this problem?

@gatho you should start a new thread for your question. This thread is a couple of years old, and the original poster never even told us what computer they had. Use the Ask A Question button and include your full model number (usually found on the same sticker as your serial number) or the first ten digits of your serial number (and not the rest of them). Describe your issue and let us know what you have tried so far.

Click on "Like" if you find my answer useful or click on "Yes" if it answers your question.
