I am trying to upgrade my Aspire E15's HDD to an SSD. I connected the SSD which looks to be recognized by the BIOS. However, I am unable to boot from a USB to reinstall Windows 10.

Here is what I tried:
  • I did change the boot order to have all USB drives come before anything else. I tried having USB HDD, USB FDD, and USB CDROM as the first boot option. None of these worked.
  • I tried booting on all usb ports.
  • I disabled secure boot.
  • I tried using F12 and booting from the boot menu but nothing came up.
  • I am using UEFI boot.
  • I created a bootable USB using the windows media creation tool on another computer (non-acer) which runs windows 10. On that same computer I also tried creating a recovery disk. Neither was recognized by the BIOS...
  • On all my attempts I inserted the USB drive BEFORE turning the laptop on.
I do not know what to try next... The only thing I can think of trying is a new USB, but I don't feel confident this will work. Any other ideas?

I appreciate the help.
