My Aspire 3's SSD crashed so I ordered an exact replacement & installed it. To get Windows 10 Pro and other Acer software that came with the laptop, I ordered Acer's USB Recovery Drive but it gets stuck at 40% even if I leave it for 4 hours and it reaches that 40% in as little as 26 minutes. The instructions that came with the recovery drive say to press F12 but that didn't work to get to the boot menu as that takes the F2 button. Many other needed instructions were also missing to get to where I am but how do I get it to go past the 40% and fully install what I paid for from Acer? At least once I saw: Fail to Apply Image with Index 1, Error Code is: 1117 but that doesn't come up any more as it starts from 0 and goes to that 40%.

I let it run all night and after about 24 hours of trying, it appears that windows has installed itself and the puter is trying to install all the other programs that came on it when it was new. Unfortunately, it has been stuck on #38 of 75 things it needs to install which is Norton Internet Security which I don't like or want and will uninstall it as soon as it lets me. It says to Please Wait and I can't find my mouse anywhere on the screen so I guess I have no choice but does anyone know how to force it to go to #39-75?
