Just want to be sure that we purchase the correct connection cords.

We have a bunch of large Acer monitors that we use with special education students with learning and vision needs. Our district now have Acer Chromebooks R751T for students but these devices do NOT have an HDMI port so the cords that came with out monitors will not let us connect.

Do we need to purchase USB 3.0 C to HDMI to make this work?

I don't believe the USB-C port on that model supports a direct USB-C to HDMI cable, you may to get a USB-C to HDMI converter cable. See more info here: https://www.quora.com/Is-USB-C-capable-of-transmitting-video-from-a-laptop
