Two days my laptop worked just fine...but today I pressed the power button and I was greeted to the no bootable device message. I have done extensive reading and tried everything except checking the hardware.
Many videos have stated to change the option to legacy, however this laptop does have that option...for boot mode.

Is there a way to switch the mode to legacy and if not.. how can I solve this problem??

It seems after enabling  f12 boot menu
.there are literally no options..even when creating a password in security..still does not give an option to change it to legacy.

Iboatswain.. Hi! Please follow the below steps which has been given below

    1. Shutdown your computer and then remove the power cable ( AC Adapter) from your computer
    2. Look underneath your laptop you could see a small battery reset pinhole where you have to insert paperclip and hold it down for 10 to 15 seconds then remove the paperclip
    3. Turn on your computer and tap f2 key  immediately to get on to bios and  check whether hard drive is getting detected or not. If hard drive is detected  press f9 for load defaults then press f10 for save&exit and check whether it takes in to login screen..If not proceed with next step
    4. Do hardshutdown(turn on your computer once you get the acer logo turn off the computer immediately and like this do it for 3 to 4 times and check whether it takes in to advance options menu).. If you see the advance options check with safe mode or system restore options.. If you don't see the advance options proceed with next step
    5. Hold down Alt key and tap f10 while turn on the computer(Try with both alt keys) and check whether it takes in to advance options
(Note : If you don't see legacy option then check whether you have launch csm option in bios)
