I'm moving to a place where I can get my own room for gaming setup.

I have a Predator Helios 500 with a GTX 1070 card and i7-8750 2,2Ghz , 32GB ram.

The question is, should I go for a 24" inch 1080p monitor or 27" 1440p (with g-sync). I heard that 27" with 1080p is lame, so either 24 for 1080 or 27 for 1440.

Afraid that my pc will not run smooth on the 27"

I guess 1080p 24" would be an optimal screen for this setup, agree?
