ACPI BIOS errors when trying to install Ubuntu from an USB Stick

So I just got an Aspire A315-41-R58X today and I'm trying to install Ubuntu on it. It came with Linpus Linux preinstalled, but that thing is too minimal for me. So, I created a bootable USB Stick, everything worked fine. I reach the GNU GRUB 2 screen where I can choose to either Try Linux or Install Linux. After I select any of the two options, the screen goes black for 4-5 seconds and then I am hit with a bunch of ACPI BIOS errors.
These are the errors: Failure creating [\_SB.PCI0.LPC0.EC0._Q46] AE_ALREADY_EXISTS (20180531/dswload2-316)
ACPI ERROR: AE_ALREADY_EXISTS, During name lookup/catalog (20180531/psobject-221)
ACPI ERROR: Skip parsing opcode Method (20180531/psloop-543)
ACPI ERROR: Could not resolve [\_SB.PCI0.GPP2.BCM5] AE_NOT_FOUND (20180531/dswload2-160)
ACPI ERROR: AE_NOT_FOUND, During name lookup/catalog (20180531/psobject-221)
ACPI ERROR: Ignore error and continue table load (20180531/psobject-604)
ACPI ERROR: Skip parsing opcode scope (20180531/psloop-543)

And after these errors it sits for a bit and then goes into continuous "BUG: soft lockup - CUP#0 stuck for 22s!" and it does this for all 8 cpus and then starts again from 0 to 7
I have Secure Boot disabled, AMD-SVM and AMD-IOMMU both disabled (because I had several errors due to IOMMU being enabled) and the ONLY option available for Boot Mode is UEFI. Also in Boot Priority Order I only have "Linpus Lite (SanDisk Cruzer Edge)" and "Linux (TOSHIBA Mq04ABF100)
I've been struggling with this for the last 4 hours since I got the laptop and it's very frustrating to have a new machine and not being able to load into an OS. I will install Windows eventually if I can't get it to work with Linux.
