Hi:

Trying to figure out what screen this has. Saw that the AMD Ryzen version actually has an amazing screen, atat leastleast in the Ryzen 7, and wondering if the same is true for this model.

Specifically, hoping it has the AU Optronics B156HAN06.0 instead of the LP156WF6-SPK6, which I think is standard with the Intel chip. Looking for max color accuracy for creative work.

Could someone let me know asap what AIDA says; if it isn't either of these models, would love the name of the exact screen and, if available, the color specs (as provided on notebook check.com etc).

Thank you!

Thank you for your help, but that lists 3 different screens... I'm looking at this spec (which isn't guaranteed accurate, of course) and it seems to say that yes, the 1st gen AMD Ryzen 5 (2500U) comes with the same screen as the Ryzen 7 version--the AUO B156HAN06.0 HW2A. And a rep on Best Buy chat just informed me that it has the 300 nit, 90% sRGB panel. To confirm, this is the Ryzen 5 2500U, right?

I guess I'm a little frustrated, as a current Acer owner, to find that it is always still so difficult to get accurate info. I will say that you guys really are great about getting it out tho!

    Please clarify. Thanks!

Yes these are Screen specifics for the AN515-42 with the Ryzen5 2500U but as you say the problem is that it comes with 3 different screens depending and it seems hard to nail it down. @laurent_14 do you have any input?

Yes, it would be good to know. If so, it's a great deal for someone who needs a high quality screen--not so sure about as a gaming config, but hey. this is w/ a 1 tb hdd btw, not ssd, and it's first gen ryzen 5. pls if anyone has add'l info that'd be most helpful. thx.

I have the exact same model, it is stable and reliable and it performs well with mid range games. The key to gaming well is correctly configuring the AMD 2020 Control Center. I have messaged my colleague to help with the screen issue but there is a Time Zone lag however I am confident of a solution

Appreciate that; yeah, reading that the AMD and their graphics are posing plms for some for various reasons--i've never had an amd but i know the base architecture is sound and again, not worried about gaming purposes. but i would LOVE some clarity on the screen, can't believe that can't get that info more easily.

thanks for your help--pls let me know if u find anything!

I answer just as many questions about problems with the Intel/Nvidia combo, what i like about the AMD rout is that problems seem easier to fix

    Hi andylb,
This laptop is shipped with those LCD panels: LP156WF6-SPK6 or LP156WFC-SPP1.
