My Predator G9-591 will not run certain games with the NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 980M

Multiple games in my Steam Library will launch, but the game will not show up on the screen.  The cursor will change and the games music will start but there will be nothing else visually.  If i take a screen shot, the game will show up on the screen shot.  When I force the games to start using integrated graphics, only a few will actually start.  Unfortunately, the games are almost unplayable with these settings.  This has been going on for quite some time and I'm unable to play almost any new game I buy.  I've tried almost everything i can think of to fix these problems, but I truly have no idea on how to fix this.  Any answers would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

    Good afternoon LuffySenpai !

Only occurs with games on Steam?
Are both video drivers (Nvidia and Intel HD Graphics) properly updated?
Is the device connected to the power outlet and using the Windows high performance plan?

All drivers should be updated and Windows is on high performance.

I therefore recommend that you completely uninstall all Steam applications and related services.
Clean the registry and reinstall to test.

I have deleted everything and cleaned the registry, but unfortunately nothing has changed.

Your game is launching because it shows up on the screenshot so you must have somehow moved the window off screen
Follow these tutorials to restore the game/Steam window

Unfortunately this does not seem to be the issue.  The window is there, taking up the entirety of the screen, but I'm just unable to see it.  I hear the game and see the games custom cursor, but I cannot see it. The picture below is what pops up on the screenshot.

LuffySenpai have you tried to setup the games manually individually to run on the DGPU via nvcp ?? if no do so sometimes manually its the only solution also make sure steam is also running in the DGPU lastly might be a game bug give a search in the devs forum for similar cases or even on steam forums and try older nvidia drivers the latest are not the best for your old 980 they are optimized for the rtx not the gtx try drivers 1/2 years older of the same age as the game youre trying was released i only updated my nvidia drivers once and it was because i was forced to the BF5 and black ops wouldnt run either black screen or crash and im still on the same drivers until today 416.94 never had a single issue with any game including all latest the rule that says the latest driver its the best doesnt appply for older gtx gpus only for the latest gpus so bare that in mind

I’ve set up all the games manually, but I was ignorant about the drivers, I’ll definitely give that a try when I can.
