As you read in the title the laptop wont boot up, and the battery light keeps flickering. I bought the laptop  in 2014 for my birthday. Exactly 1 year and 2 weeks later the laptop broke down and would not boot up (yes i have kept the laptop all this time). I took it to the shop where i bought the laptop, they said it was a hard drive and motherboard issue and could better spend the money buying an other laptop then buy a new motherboard. So after all these years i wanted to check if that was the real problem. I pressed the on button but it didn't boot and there where no lights flickering yet, then i took the laptop apart and put two 4 gig ram in it, but didnt boot up, but the battery lights started flickering about every second.

Now to my question, what does that flickering mean and could i fix it myself?
Thanks in advance,

Sounds like a bad battery to me. All you could do is replace it.

Yes. If your battery is flickering while charging thats usually a sign of failure. A sort of notification. Buy a new battery and check back here.

If it was the motherboard we'd see a solid unchanging light or none at all. I'm sure its your battery.
