The Acer TravelMate P2 P2410-G2-M NX.VGTAA.006 has a 500GB HDD: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/CA/content/professional-model/NX.VGTAA.006

I can't seem to find a description of where the HDD LED is.  I am looking in the manual at https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7554?b=1

Is there an HDD LED?  Why would there not be?

I rely on that to avoid moving the laptop and mashing the drive head.

    Hi,
No HDD LED indicator in this model, you have only Battery and Power indicators are available but I don't know the reason for it.

As laptop designs have been moving toward only SSDs they've been phasing out disk activity lights. Most HDD equipped models are targeted at lower cost, so the cost of adding a LED in is one of the factors they consider. Most HDDs do a good job of parking when told to power off.

SDD's don't risk mashing their read heads when they are moved.  They don't need LEDs.  But this model has an HDD, which needs a LED.  Furthermore, it's not a lower end model.  There are many much cheaper alternatives at the same performance.  So it's weird that they would not have one (it can't be expensive).
