Hi so my predator Helios 300 (model PH315-52)'s 3.5mm headphone jack doesn't switch the laptop's audio to the headphones; it still plays through the speakers and not whatever headphones are plugged in. Also my headset's microphone doesn't work on this laptop but does work on other devices. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

I have teh same issue on a newish helios 300- worked for a few weeks then stopped - I tried reinstalling the realtek drivers and it worked again but the next time i unpugged and plugged back in headphones it crapped out again.  When I start the RealTek Audio consoe - i get an error message "Can't connect to RPC console.

NoodleTree  Babrbarossa consider reseting your windows to stock clean install via stock recovery check here select delete everything option to completely rule out any software issues also disable windows from updating any drivers/firmware via windows updates or even completely most common issues are due to windows forced updates but make sure to backup everything you would need first

Did what you said, seemed to fix it but if I run into the same problem later down the line, I'll either reply to you on another comment here looking for further help, or I'll create a new forum post.
