Hello,
My Acer Aspire A515-51g didn't come with a hard drive, only SSD, so I ordered the parts required to integrate a hard drive in, but today when I open up my laptop, I've got a problem. The plug to which the hard drive connector should connect appears to be backwards. Is it supposed to be like this? Is it something that I can get fixed? What do I do? Thanks for your time.

When I tried to take a pic myself I had really ***** lighting and I don't really know what's a good angle, so Imma link where I bought it from. I think it has a pretty good picture. https://www.zandparts.com/en/Acer-50.GP4N2.004

    Hi,
I think you have locking clip in "open" position, you can see it in this video at 3:15, watch when he opens the locking clip.

That's not it, chief. I have a different connector. Mine is not more like a piece of tape, but more of a connector connector. You can see in the link that I sent of the part picture (https://www.zandparts.com/en/Acer-50.GP4N2.004). I tried "opening" the part that is shown, but it won't budge, so I don't think that is the case.

Yes I see it now, it's a push down connector, align it with the connector on the motherboard and push gently.
