GBMicro.com DDR3 SO-DIMM 8 GB. Is this notebook memory compatible with my Acer axc 603 er12 desktop? The motherboard has two portals for memory, currently one is in use with a 4GB stick from Manufacturer. Can I add this 8GB to the other portal?

Nope, specs call for "DDR3L- 1.35V 1333 (2GB or 4GB) dual channel up to 8GB total memory", so you can add a second 4GB card but not an 8GB card.

Nope, the 8GB needs to be split between the two slots.

One additional question. Rather than two 4 gb sticks, can I simply put an 8 gb stick in one of the portals?

Can an Aspire  AXC-603-UR15 be upgraded with 4GB. And if so what do I need per the specs

DO you mind linking the specs where it says that?

    Thanks!

It's in the service guide, which isn't publicly available.

    Ah, interesting.

I wonder how Acer thinks its consumers will ever figure that out. Magic I guess.
