I deleted files from my hard drive, but it still shows that it is full

I recently got this computer and somehow my iTunes went onto my hard drive instead of my external hard drive.  I moved all the files and deleted them from the C drive, but it says I only have 1.5 GB of 118 GB free.  How can that be?  How do I clean it up?

I get your frustration, canned crappy answer. Does it matter his laptop model? Will model ABC be different from model CDE when *deleting files with Windows 10*???

One thing that comes to mind is that Windows doesn't delete the files, it'll move the files to the thrash can so the user can un-delete them. Have you tried to empty the trash can?

Other than that, I have no idea. Maybe buy a new laptop from a decent brand, like Apple.
