Hey, I recently bought a used PC with a Veriton X6610G Motherboard and a i5-2400 built in. I had a spare i7-3770 at home and wanted to upgrade the system but on startup the PC just peeps 4 times.
So my guess was I need to flash the bios. msinfo told me that I had the bios version p01-B0L(? But I’m using Windows, I thought L is just for Linux?) and on the official Acer Homepage the latest version is P01-B2.
But every time I try to flash the bios i get told that the ROM isn’t compatible.

What am I doing wrong here?

Okay, I figured it out myself. I had to flash it with the p01-b0 (without the L) and after that I could flash it with P01-b2.
It seemed that the already installed p01-b0l made some problems there. Tomorrow I’ll try to install my i7 again.

The i7 shouldn't work even with a newer BIOS. You typically can't mix generations of Intel chips. The i5 is second gen, the i7 third.
