New Acer Nitro 5 single SSD. I repartitioned the drive to two partitions and cloned windows 10 onto the second part. and gave it a new name and drive letter. When I boot the laptop using f2 (or F12) I get only :Windows Boot Manager" No drive selection. I cant figure what to do here. can anyone direct me to or give me directions.

What happens when you select it? Does it then show you the two different drives with windows, like below?

thanks sri39 The problem is that I do not get that window with the choices (as I do on my desktop) But on the Acer laptop it automatically goes to partition 1 on disk0.  Startup selecting bios using f12 just gives one choice "windows boot manager". The drive is visible in system and from "This PC" but of course I cannot boot from the second partition. I have checked that it is a bootable partition (according to paragon HD manager). Thanks

I had the exact same issue, I have the 2019 Nitro 5 version which came with a 128gb M.2 and a 1TB HDD. Windows 10 was installed on the M.2 drive. I bought a new 512gb M.2 with the idea of cloning the smaller drive. That worked without a hitch, however there is no freakin way to select the new M.2 in the BIOS to 'boot from this drive'.

Basically I took out the smaller M.2 drive that came with the system, used my USB Windows installer and booted from that and started fresh. I was done in 20 minutes. I then put the old 128gb drive back in as my backup / restore in case I ever need it, which I probably wont.

Okay, just as an FYI... Windows 10 is bad at co-existing with other OSes. If you want a backup of your OS, take an image backup. Or use it on another partition on another disk - try not to use the same disk. This doesn't do well if disk fails.
Also, try not to reject an answer when people are trying to help; it brings down their morale. Do not hesitate to mark as rejected though if the response is not related to what you asked for.
