Hello. I just bought this laptop Acer Predator PH317-53 and the touchpad does not work in it. In BIOS, there is no touchpad setting, and in Windows this device is not displayed. What to do???

    Hi,
Go to Device manager, expand System Devices and look for Intel I2C Host controller driver, if you don't have it, go to Acer Support site and download Seial IO driver & install it and see whether it helps.

Thanks for the tip. I solved this problem myself.
The solution was a banal update of windows 10 to the latest version! Who would have thought only.

I did this so you may also

    first, I install i\o driver from acer.com

    the updated Synaptics driver

(note: no options for the touchpad is showing in my bios)

then I entered in bios by restarting my pc and pressing the f2 key continually,

    there I saw no touchpad so I randomly pressed ctrl + a then s the d the q the w the f

and somehow I got a touchpad in my bios

I changed my touchpad from ps/2 to ic2 or something

then saved and exit and fixed my problem.

(note: Acer customer care didn't help me much)
