I'm currently using an NVMe SSD with a rating of Seq Read as 2,400 MB/s and Seq Write as 1,700 MB/s. The size of the SSD is 256 GB.

I want to upgrade to 512 GB or even 1 TB.

I checked on similar queries here in the Acer Community. I have not found the answer to my question:
1. Using HWiNFO64, I see 4 PCIe v3.0 ports, with their corresponding bus lanes: #1=4x, #9=2x, #11=1x, #12=1x. On the System Summary bottom left area, I see NVMe 2x 8.0 GT/s, SATA 6 Gb/s @ 6Gb/s and ATAPI which points to the DVD drive. Does this mean that the bus lane for the NVMe SSD is 2x? So what is using the 4x bus lane?
2. I can buy a card that is SR: 3,500 MB/s and SW: 3,000 MB/s. Will that increase the performance? Does the 2x lane simply mean that whatever speed of card I use, it will be halved? How is the actual speed determined?
3. Can the NVMe SSD use the 4x port?

Hope my question is clear enough. I will be waiting. Thank you!
