My acer Aspire 3 A315-41-R132 - went out and can't be turned on with the power button

I have a Aspire 3 A315-41-R132, with AMD Ryzen 5 2500U. Yesterday, I was going out for around 2 hours while keeping the laptop on and was charging it the whole time. One hour passes and I went to check out the laptop but it was dead (turned off). Usually, when i didnt touch the laptop for sometime, it will go to sleep mode, but not this time. I tried clicking the power button but it doesn't work. But the weird thing is that when i click the "End" button, the "Del" button, space bar, the window button and some other button, it turned on, but then its suddenly crash and turned off again with a *click* sound. However, if I continuously click those buttons (just one of those several buttons), it turned on as long as i click it. The moment I let it go, 4 seconds later the laptop died again. I had already updated my bios and amd but still the same thing. My friend thought that the system overworked because I charge it too much, while other said it is stuck in sleep mode. They said to let it rest overnight, but the next day, it still doesnt work. Is there something i could do to fix it?

You could try a battery reset, switch off the laptop, disconnect from mains, follow the instructions in the video, leave the laptop to rest for a while(15-20Mins), then reconnect the AC adapter and let the laptop fully charged before start using it again. I have marked the pinhole with a red circle.

Hi @brummyfan2, thanks for your reply, I appreciate it deeply. I have tried all the instruction you told me to, but unfortunately it doesnt seem to fix it. I had already click the battery reset and waited for 20 minutes, charged the laptop, but still when I click the power button, nothing happen. The problem of shutting down after me pressing random buttons still occured. Is there any reason to why this is happening, if so then what alternative way can I do to fix it. I will be waiting for your reply, thanks!

It's difficult for me to tell the reason, try contacting Acer support centre and send it for a service or a local laptop repair shop but I would also suggest you to wait for other members' response because there may be a simple solution which I might have missed but if you are within the warranty period, it's better to get fixed by Acer Support centre.

Exactly when and exactly how did you update your BIOS? Jack E/NJ

Most people are having the same issue and I think the issue lies in laptop keyboard.It could have been short circuited and that is why u r experiencing strange bootups while pressing keys

Hi @JackE , I updated my bios by clicking the several button through the whole process, I found a tutorial on how to update my BIOS so I did that.I updated it 2 days ago, which is a day after the issue occured although i did not know the exact time/hour i did it. I chose the latest one for my acer from the acer website. I know this move i made is not very wise. I am very sorry if this just made it harder for you guys. Since you're getting some KB response you might try to reseat its mainboard connector a half dozen or so times to try to clean its contacts. See image below. You have to first remove the RAM door/module and HDD door/module. Then remove 17 screws from the bottom cover, turn the machine over, lift the lid and start prying the top and bottom apart starting from the left side and working your way around the bottom and right side.
