Go to the elevated command prompt.  Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport'. Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer. Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser. Compare design capacity with full charge capacity. Post screenshot if possible. Jack E/NJ

Hey JackE. Did as you instructed. Kinda feel bad by stealing the post from this friend here but since we're having the same issue.

    Here goes the Printscreen.
I've edited to capture since the start of the problem, and it goes until infinity like that, alternating between AC/Battery.

Pull the charger. Let the machine run on battery alone till you get a low battery warning. Then plug the charger back in. Does the charger still seem to immediately cycle on/off? Jack E/NJ

    Hello JackE.

Just let the battery run out and started recharging in normally.
Let's see how it behaves when it reaches closer to full capacity. Yesterday I used the battery to around 70% and it recharged normally until 98% when it started cycling again. Perhaps with this full discharge, it may stop this issue.

I don't think there's anything wrong if it cycles close to full charge. My two ACERs & one HP do the same thing when I take notice. Usually charge to 100% when the blue light comes on. Then I sometimes notice the orange light comes on even though the charger was never unplugged. Check the battery level and it usually reads somewhere between 95-98%. After a while the blue light comes back on. Means the charger acted as if it were unplugged. Not sure if I ever take notice that the plugged-in symbol also disappears. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Jack E/NJ

The issue is that when it cuts the power supply, it reduces the overall performance, even thought it is selected to maintain "high performance", which consequently reduces the gpu capacity and starts stuttering when playing games.

What power output is the charger? Jack E/NJ

It is the original charger that came with my laptop, but unfortunately I cant check it right now.
However, this started happening in the last few days.
I wonder if it is not a battery issue

Possible. But since you mentioned the game thing, has gameplay changed in any way in the last few days that might've increased the power demand? There were two adapters available for this system. A 45-watter for normal operation and a 65-watt gamer. Could also be that the charger is overheating and tripping out. Jack E/NJ

Same game for months, Wow classic haha.

Lets see if after the full cycle something changes.
Yesterday I ve tried a different charger ( same model thought, my friend has the same laptop) and still had issues.

If the problem continues ill use the blackfriday discounts and get a new battery

JackE, just to let you know, apparently the full discharge/recharge fixed the issues.

Compare design capacity with the full charge capacity. If it's less than half, get a new battery. Jack E/NJ

    Bad news JackE,

    The issue came back =(

Going to fully discharge-recharge but if nothing else works I'm buying another battery.

Perhaps this has to do with the fact that my computer is always plugged in?
