Hi community.  I`ve never joined a brand forum for laptops before, but I need some advice so I thought why not.  I`m a gamer, and because of space constraints I`m a laptop gamer.  I used to own a Lenovo Legion Y520 but after two years the graphics chip overheated and blew, or broke or whatever, but it no longer works.  So I bought a Predator Helios 300.  The one with the 1660Ti inside it.  I like it.... I like it a lot......  Its a lot better than the Lenovo with the 1050Ti which I had.  It runs a lot cooler too.

Now, I had upgraded my lenovo and I have taken the parts that I upgraded out... The advice I need is this.  I have purchased an extended warranty from the catalogue I bought this from and I also have a 12 month warranty with Acer.  I would like to upgrade my Helios to 16GB of RAM by putting one of the 8GB sticks I have and I also have a 512GB Samsung Evo 960 Nvm SSD drive... and also a 1TB HDD.

I want to stick this hardware into my Helios... Will I void my warranty???

    Hi,

Look at this answer in acer website. https://uk.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3423

Before upgrading i would recommend you to contact acer to understand the warranty better. Because warranties for upgrading parts differ from country to country.

Combiseries the ram and hdd will not void it if its accessible without complete chassis disassembling and you havent got any seals (make sure the ram you have its the same clock/cl to work in dual channel) regarding the m.2 drive if you dont have any stickers/seals you can open it and replace/upgrade it if you have them you cant you will void your warranty at this point you would have to contact acer regarding upgrading your m.2 ssd
