    Hi,
Install CPU-z and find the model of the memory installed, then get a module with matching specs.
    https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
For example, have a look at my snip to find the details of your current module.

I want to upgrade my newly bought Acer laptop from 8gb Ram to 16gb Ram.
Can you please recommend a good "8 GB RAM" that is compatible with Acer E5-576G-5762?
I AM NOT INTERESTED IN DOWNLOADING ANY APP.
I just need the Ram type....etc to buy.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
This model came with two types of memory depending on the motherboard, so you need to look at the modules and read the type of memory it came with, open the service hatch and check whether it's DDR3L 16000MHz module or a DDR4  2133/2400MHz module.

    EDIT:http://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Acer/aspire-e5-576g-5762
But some of the same model came with DDR4 2133MHz module:https://www.reddit.com/r/AcerOfficial/comments/8enj29/memory_upgrade_recommendations_acer_aspire_e_15/

This is the BEST ANSWER to the confusing memory issue that I have read so far on this community page. Thank you so much for clearing this up, as many people have said they have DDR4, which is what Intel says that the i5 8250U supports (and Intel also says that the chip supports (max.) 32GB of DDR4 RAM in 2 banks of 1, it does not say 16GB of DDR3).

I am wondering why Acer would put two different motherboards under the same model number, which would hold different amounts of and different types of memory can cause so much confusion? Why wouldn't they just give it a different model number?

You are welcome  :)  They might have used the left over motherboards during transitional period(from DDR3 to DDR4), it's only a guess on my part as I am not working for Acer.
