I recently bought this laptop 3 months ago and it was working fine. It was strange that when I unplugged it the laptop would power off.  Iread about using a paperclip to reset the battery connection which ended up working, but after a few days it did it again. The biggest issue is now I can't even use my laptop when it's plugged in. When I press the power button on my laptop the red around the button turns on and one of the little LED lights with the lightbulb shaped symbol turns on but nothing else happens. There is no sound of fans, no boot sound, no backlight from the screen or the rest of the keyboard buttons. Does anyone know what I might need to do in order to get my laptop into working condition again?

Well what you did is an internal battery reset but trust me, the issue might be more or less battery oriented. There's battery reset but if it doesn't work, it is high time that you send it for repair. It is very important to do this as your machine is still under warranty.

    Hello,

I have this exact same problem with the same exact light coming on and the laptop not starting up.
I was experiencing the problem of the laptop suddenly shutting off when moved while unplugged, before I tried the battery reset and then this happened. How can I resolve the issue? With my current location, sending it to Acer might be too costly to do. It's a Predator 15 G9-591-70VM

Any fix for this? I have the same problem. Tried the battery reset pinhole, as well as the cover spring lever.

Having the exact same issue asSambatraube is showing. Acer, there must be a something that can be done to fix this? If not then respond and let us know. Sambatraube, any chance you can let us know if you got yours fixed? I Paid 1900 EUR for this and it broke down in 3 years...

So, I figured out my problem, but forgot to post it here once I did! The entirety of my issue had to do with the small CMOS battery on my motherboard being slightly undervoltage. They are supposed to be 3.0 V, and mine was at like 2.7 V. I took apart the laptop (until I had access to the battery), popped it out, popped in a new one from a local hardware store (~$5), put it all back together, and it has functioned perfectly ever since. Hope that helps.
