Hi, I've tried googling and watching youtube videos of the Helios 500, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I was a thread here with the m.2 ports confusion regarding PCI-E and Sata.
What I want is to add another SSD so I can install games on.
Are there any free slots on the helios? And what kind of slots ar available?
I have one SSD disk 256GB and one regular disk 1TB. I guess they use regular disc slots, but I have not opened my laptop to look yet.

Do you have the AMD version (PH517-61) or the Intel (PH517-51) version? The AMD version comes with one NVMe M.2 256GB drive pre-installed and has a free SATA III M.2 slot next to it plus a standard old fashion 2.5 inch SATA III drive bay that you can add a hdd, sshd, or ssd to the system next to the battery. The cable and bracket for a 2.5 inch drive came with the laptop.

To check which laptop you have, click on the start menu, click on the gear icon for settings, click "System" and scroll down the list on the left to the bottom where it says "About", and it should tell you under "Device specification".

The Intel version (PH517-51) is similar except the second M.2 slot accepts both SATA III and NVMe drives.
