S7 391 spare power supply

I want a spare power adapter for my lovely new S7 but every supplier I can find that claims to have an adapter for the S7 is selling the wrong tip size - the typical 5.5mm tip is too big. Should be about 3.5mm, as best as I can measure. The adapter supplied is Liteon PA-1850-80, but Googling this only produces loads of the wrong tip size (as far as you can tell from pictures).

Does anyone know where I can get the right AC Adapter in the UK? it's not on the Acer site.

    Good day

Here is the exact specs of your power supply:

    Power adapter

    3-pin 65 W AC adapter:

    • 95 (W) x 50 (D) x 25.4 (H) mm (3.74 x 1.96 x 1 inches)
    • 216 g (0.47 lbs.) with 180 cm DC cable

I do recommend to everybody to rather buy direct from Acer, even though it might be a bit expensive. I have had bad experience with after market power supplies such as almost getting my house burnt down and the supplier and vendor didnt wanna take responsibilities. If you buy it direct from Acer and something goes wrong and they find that its their own equipment that caused the fault, they are likely to take the responsibility and they will log a safety hazard call and get the matter under investigation.

Thanks Freeza - couldn't agree more about buying direct from Acer and I'd happily do so, but if I go to the Acer Store on this website (http://store.acer.com/store/aceremea/html/pbPage.ProductFinder) and try to find accessories for the S7, there's nothing - the S3, S5, S7 etc Aspire models aren't in the dropdown list..

Is there somewhere else on the Acer website where I can find the right power supply spare?

I am running into the same problem with a lack of S7 accessories listed anywhere on the Acer website. Does anyone know if the S5-391 replacement power supply (SKU#AK.065AP.034) is the same as the S7-391 supply other than the color difference? At least from the picture, it looks remarkably similar, including the shape, wattage, and tiny power tip. (Customer service has indicated that the accessories may be available in mid-January.)

I called customer service a couple of weeks ago and asked them about the S5 adapter. You are voltage everything but color "looks" identical, but the CS Rep told me the tip was different.  I've nevet been confident in that answer, though, as I got the feeling I was sort of getting a standard answer (it says it's for S5, so not gonna say anything different).

Would be great if someone from Acer could comment here with hands-on knowledge.

Also, why is this thread marked as 'Solved' when it clearly is not?  Will the moderator please reset the status until there are real solutions?

Has anyone been able to get an actual 2nd power supply for this laptop, with the right tip?

I have the same problem - bought an Acbel product (same manufacturer as LiteOn) but the tip size is wrong

Right, according to the service manua here,  the Acer part numbers are KP.06503.006 and KP.06503.007.  Googling these shows you can get them for around £40. with the standard IEC C6/ 3 core cable socket (cloverleaf/micky mouse arrangement)

I'm looking for one with a much smaller with a socket for the 2-core cable (IEC C7/C8 figure-8) like the US version of the adapter.

Several sites like this one and this one show the correct picture and say the pin is 7.5 mm long with 3 mm external diameter and 1 mm internal.  I don't think that's correct.  Maplins tips of that spec don't fit, and nor does the Acbel universal I tried earlier.
