Hello, I bought the laptop here:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07CTHLX8C?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Acer Predator Helios 300  PH315-51-78NP

And I would like to know how I can upgrade the hard drive space to be 1TB instead of 256gb. What kind of hard drive should I buy? And should I take it to a computer place since I don't know how to change the hard drive myself?

zefyrz if you want to upgrade your ssd you will have to completely disassemble it yourself if you dont have any warranty seals if you have seals you cant you will void it to upgrade the hdd only just open the hdd compartment and replace it (i dont recommend sshd they are a waste of money and useless) if you still want to stay on hdd format and need performance get a 1tb wd black 2.5" 7200rpm or get a 2.5" ssd bare in mind that on hdd form factor you can only upgrade up to 2tb more than 2tb the form factor its 15mm it will not fit the only drives that will fit its 7/9mm max if you check my signature you can see the drives i have on mine i upgraded the ssd to a 2tb m.2 sata wd blue 3d nand the hdd havent upgraded it yet i plan to get a 4tb ssd to replace it as i have also an external 2.5" 5tb drive where i have about 80/90% of all my games installed (between 120/130 games)

And Jack22 let me just correct you there as you havent gave him the correct info you just went to the service manual and stated whats there which its not accurate at all regarding the m.2 port he can upgrade the m.2 ssd up to 2tb either sata or nvme if the port supports it dont look at the service manual specs as that was the max tested with (doesnt mean it wont support more not the actual max supported and the hdd up to 2tb not 1tb as you stated above he can also replace the hdd for a 2.5" ssd up to 4tb so far (the largest i have seen)
