-Model: Aspire TC-885
-Part number: DGE0XTA001
-CPU: i7-8700@3.20GHz
-GPU: nVidia GTX 1050
-Operating system: Windows 10 Home 64
-BIOS version: R01-A2

I couldn't find the option to disable hyperthreading in BIOS, and I was wondering a BIOS upgrade (latest R01-B4) would solve my problem because I also couldn't find the related release notes. Any thought about that?! Or there are settings allowing me to do so in Windows or other utilities?! Thanks in advance.

no way to do it if BIOS doesn't hallow it, i don't know if the new version has this option.
    I'm not an Acer employee.

I haven't heard of any plans to disable hyperthreading at all.

At the end of the day, I upgraded BIOS to version R01-B3, and no luck, the option of toggling hyperThreading functionality wasn't really implemented at all there.

But I thank for your time and opinions all the same.

Just for my own edification, why do you want to disable it?

Simply because I happens to have a windows application software, and it works better without hyperThreading due to its original design/algorithm. I cannot modify the software, so I turn to hyperThreading instead.
