Aspire A515-43 primary ram slot?

I have an additional samsung 8gb stick that's at 2667 MHz. Should I move the 4GB to the empty slot and move the 8GB to the one currently in use? Or it will not make a difference in performance. I didn't want to spend more on RAM, I just got one stick for $37.

Hi,
If you are going to use 8 gb along with 4 gb it is going to become 12 gb totally. You can install upto 16 gb on each slot to a maximum of 32 gb.

Hi,
No it won't make any difference in performance, just insert the module in the empty slot and you will be fine with 12GB of memory.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiadRhJ70RsI did something wrong by accident, not sure what. CPU will be loud for several minutes, go quiet, than go loud again. I only have discord and 4 firefox tabs up, with the usual background processes. As I typed the CPU went quiet. Not sure if a bit of dust got in and my fans are trying to push it out. I have opened many bottom pieces before and I'm still extremely careful when removing them. I have the task manager screen here.
