Inaccessible Boot Drive after BIOS Update - A515-54-51DJ

After updating my A515-54-51DJ BIOS to 1.12 (the supplied BIOS update from the support page was an EXE and allowed literally no confirmation before AUTOMATICALLY flashing the BIOS after loading the file; what kind of garbage is that?!), I am getting an INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DRIVE after powering on the unit. Then it proceeds to the "Preparing Automatic Repair" screen for over ten minutes before looping around and doing both things over again. Sometimes I get the Repair options blah blah blah.. I have tried uninstalling both the newest Feature Windows Update and the other one, but that has not worked. I have also reset the battery on the back of the unit, but I'm sure you can guess that did nothing either.

I have reset the BIOS to factory settings, made sure Secure Boot was disabled and that Windows Boot Manager was the first option in the boot list (it's the only one). I have set a Supervisor Password but that did not allow any additional settings to be used/adjusted as it said it would. I seem to have LOST options with this new BIOS update, such as all of the SATA settings on the Boot menu.

Also, this is listed in the BIOS update: "
2.Hidden SATA Mode in BIOS setup menu and can press "Ctrl+S" to show up."
What is this and how can I access it?

This is super frustrating. Losing faith in this company. This shouldn't happen to a brand new laptop with an official BIOS update.

    Good night traditional85 !

First, there are no Acer employees here.
This is a collaborative open forum for Acer users and enthusiasts.
If you need direct technical information you should contact your local Acer.

Another question is, what was the reason for updating Bios?

Bios upgrades are extremely delicate and risky processes and should only be performed in serious cases of serious system errors or extreme need for correction or compatibility.
Other than this is a process that should be avoided as much as possible, especially if your machine is working perfectly.

Bios updates are not like driver updates.
    Acer does not develop Bios.
They are provided by subsidiary or outsourced companies.
It has long been a consensus among Bios distributors not to create more flash files (which always caused system loss).
Current Bios are updated via .EXE in the operating system itself.

I suggest you reinstall your OEM system from your factory or contact Acer in your area.

While I do appreciate your 'canned responses,' they are not relevant to the situation at hand. I am asking for suggestions, and you asking the reason for the BIOS update is irrelevant. None of your responses pertain to a single question of the original post. Please refrain from posting the same canned responses just to boost your post count.

This update was not 'delicate' on my end, as it this is a straight forward BIOS update procedure. A fresh install of Windows 10 Pro did not rectify the problem.

Disabling Secure Boot gives me no available options to change the SATA mode, which I did originally do get Windows 10 installed the first time. Why has this option vanished? How can I change this? A new install of Windows via USB gives me a "We couldn't find any drives" error, and diskpart shows disk0 as 19GB and not as the full capacity of the drive.

Have you managed to solve your issue? Or you had to reinstall Windows?
BTW I was updating BIOS from 1.11 to 1.16 in order to fix brightness not adjustable in Windows 10 and also Night Light not working
