Hey guys

My notebook is now almost 2 years old. For games like the WoW Classic or PUBg the notebook shuts down after a short time without restarting.

I suspect that it is due to overheating. In my opinion this shouldn't happen, because there is a graphics card (NVIDIA GTX 1060) installed, which is intended for gaming.

Is the problem known? It's really annoying!

I think you are right about the temperature and you are getting an automatic CPU protection shutdown. There could be a number of causes. After 2 years the Thermal paste probably needs replacing, I would use Grizzly Kryonaut. Also make sure your Nvidia drivers are updated from here
    https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en
In the Nvidia control panel make sure the Nvidia GPU is selected under global and make sure each game is set to run on the Nvidia GPU

I am not an ACER employee
Thank you and have a blessed day  B)

I will try to fix it with the Thermal paste tommorow. Drivers, settings, dust in fans and so on I already updated and cleaned.

    Hope this will help.

For everyone with the same problem:

Since I renewed the paste, everything's going the way it did before.
But I also have to say that I also removed dust from the cooling and fan at the same time and bought a cooling board with 3 fans, on which the notebook now stands.
