No , it is an internal cable that attaches to the Motherboard, and the Caddy/Tray to hold the drive, so unless you have opened you computer Drive Bay , you wouldn't know if you have it already or not. It is just a short 2-3" long cable with the Sata Connector and a special plug for the Motherboard end. Sorry I don't have a pic of it but there are images in the Installation instructions Online here for your Helios model :

Hi, I didnt get the mounting kit when i got my Predator 17 G9-793, I contacted the place that supplied it but i want to be sure i can tell them exactly what i need. Is it a rubber mounting cradle and Sata to esata cable?
Anyone have a pic of the kit you got so i can show them if needed? (i tried googling it but the results vary and im not sure if it fits this laptop)
    Thanks!
    Hi,
    Part number for the cable:50.Q04N5.001
Part number for the rubber cradle:42.Q04N5.004

Thank you so much for the part numbers they are super helpful when talking to acer support people that have no idea what you are talking about.
Am i correct in thinking these items should be delivered with every Predator machine that needs them or are there some machines that you have to buy them yourself?
As an example in my case with a Predator 17 G9-793, should it have come with or should i have bought these items myself if i wanted them?
    Thank you for the help!

    Hi,
It depends on the original hardware configuration with which your laptop came, these parts might not have been included if it came only with M.2 SSDs.

My Nitro 5 only had an m2 SSD, but there was not way to add a HDD without the Caddy and cable as the Drive Bay was empty

The Nitro 5 parts maybe different as Mine did not have a Rubber Caddy but the type linked a few posts up in the Acer HDD install instructions (Silver), the Cable no# maybe the same though...

No problem, you need the cable and the bracket with 4 screws to attach the HDD to bracket( size 3.0x3.0) another 4 screws to attach the assembly to the main body(size 2.0x3.0)
Part number for the cable:  50.Q28N2.004
    Part number for bracket:33.Q28N2.001
If you want, you can secure the HDD with some soft non-conductive packing materials or some double sided sticky tape.

A limited quantity of Predator Helios 300 units sold via Amazon in the United States and Canada, did not include all necessary hardware to install a second drive.

    These models include:

    •             Predator Helios 300 (G3-571, G3-572, G3-573 and PH317 models)

Thank you all for your interest in Acer products!

I recently purchased a Predator Helios 300 model PH315-51. I also bought an HDD, but the laptop didn't come with the HDD caddy. Oddly enough, it came with the caddy screws (in a small baggie, I think they were with the power cable). Will I be able to take advantage of this even though my model isn't listed? I think I should get one since Acer didn't include it. Should I try using the link you posted or do I have to contact them myself? Thank you.

How can I get the HDD Kit?

If you live in the United States or Canada, and have an Acer Predator Helios 300 that does not include the HDD Caddy and SATA cable, you can request the Kit on the following link:  https://csapps.acer.com/kit-request/#submit

If I am outside of the U.S. or Canada region, can I still get the HDD Kit sent to me?

If you purchased a US or Canada unit and had it shipped to your country, you would need to contact your local Acer Support to inquire about ordering these parts in your country https://www.acer.com/worldwide/

Can I use a freight forwarder to ship the HDD Kit to my country?

Unfortunately, we cannot mail to freight forwarder's addresses.  We need a physical mailing address in the U.S. or Canada to have it sent to, then they would be responsible for mailing the parts to your location, at your expense.

How can I install the HDD Caddy and SATA cable once I receive it?

Please follow the instructions on the following link for HDD Kit installation: https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/47006

    Hello Acer-Manny,
I just bought an Acer Nitro 5 in Walmart. I want to know if I do apply for asking the SATA cable. I tried to write you a DM but I didn't find the way. Thanks in advance,
    Alessandro

    Hello!
    @astrobbe
    @Acer-Manny
Does anyone of you have some clue what can I do? I bought one Nitro V and I'm having the same issue. I tried with the Kit Request Form (https://csapps.acer.com/kit-request/#submit) and US Support with no success. What can I do?

    He all,
I live in Australia and purchased my Helios 300 online from Amazon. I just went to install a second HDD and found this fault. I contacted local Australian Acer support and they said it wasn't their problem and that I need to contact Amazon to get it fixed, completely disregarding any of the guidance provided in this post. Anyone else outside of America managed to get a solution?

JimmyTheBoarHunter well outside of US not sure but i would probably try to contact amazon just to find out what they have to say about it and if nothing sorted contact Acer again or maybe any staff would be able to provide more info on this particular issue

My Helios 300 PH315-52-78VL did not come with the mounting kit, and the request form linked above returned an error message. Can this HDD mounting kit be purchased anywhere? I cannot find the components from any online shop.
