Okay so i got the brand new i5 9th gen 1660ti 6gb model of acer Helios 300 2019 . In my knowledge and the reviews i have watched .. rainbow six siege , the game i play , should give me around 160-180 fps in low settings . But in my case , irrespective of the settings .. i get around 90-110 fps . Be it low settings or high . I do not play on battery . I always play while my laptop is changing . And also i have disabled the game bar option of windows 10 . Any solutions ??

    Try playing with V-Sync off.

The Vsync did not help. I have i7 version of this and facing exactly same issue on rainbow six. and i have optimized my pc too with the basic optimization. i cant find the problem yet. all of the drivers are updated. Also game ha crashed quite a lot in last 3 days.. XdxD said:

Check the forums of Rainbox Six Siege once to know if there were some problems with the game recently.

There is no problem with the game , cause i have seen multiple benchmark videos of it recently , even they were getting around 160-180fps

Dizzy so by what you just stated that means you havent done any windows optimizations at all as @sri369 stated above as those you said you had don wont do anything to improve it anyway check the youtube channel in my signature there are windows optimization videos

The stock driver from Acer site doesn't provide this performance?

RakiRaki as a last resort i suggest you to backup everything u need and perform a clean stock recovery install to eliminate any software issues

@RakiRaki Its not an issue with your laptop in particular. I have the same i5 Helios 300, getting max 120 fps in R6 Siege. The videos that you are watching online are all for the i7 model. I believe that the i5 model has a CPU bottleneck and that's why the fps is same on low or ultra settings. It seems the CPU is not able to keep up with the GPU. The fact that even if you overclock the GPU, the fps stays the same further solidifies this, because it means its not the GPU thats holding back.

@Legion why is i7-9750H not able to keep up with a 1660ti? why a bottleneck straight out of the box? does acer not check their products before finalizing?

RakiRaki after you backup what you need into another drive ALT+F10 on boot to perform a stock recovery and choose the option delete everything it will perform a clean install to the first day you had booted it the first time
