Hi
Today i bought helios 300 (NH.Q5PEM.011)
I coudn't find dolby audio equalizer or TrueHarmony,
realtek's properties not indicating dolby & TH.
Is that driver issue? If yes why acer not communicating with windows regarding drivers updates! and why should i tweak and disable driver signature inforcement in windows and install the driver from acer site!
That is my first impression of using my laptop..!
Thank u

Thamerov no manufacturer can stop microsoft from doing what they want as they are the ones who give the manufacturers the oem licenses to use their OS on the devices so they have to do as MS says theres no vote in any matter here MS are the bosses above all manufacturers if they want to use their OS they do as they are told no without argue or they wont allow the use of the OS in the devices also the stock drivers are always the best because they are customized by acer for the hardware in questions regarding windows updating them its up to you the end user to stop them manually nothing to do with acer i also had the crackling sound issue since the first day and its easy to fix uninstalled the audio driver and installed the version im using now im using the realtek audio driver 10.0.17763.1 from 14/9/18 never had a single issue again

    Hi,
Does your right speaker make popping/cracking noise while listening to a music or speech? I bought Helios 300 3 days ago and I already have problems with speaker and cpu.

Didn't notice that but i'll check
Bro thats acer and their drivers issues, predator is their new brand they should Permit windows from updating their drivers..
on my 772G i got the same issue of cracking sound issue!, But i solved it with tweaking: installing realtek driver win8.1 on win10 after disabling driver signature in recovery..
