1 1/2 yr old E5-576G-5762 monitor NCP LM156LF1L03 Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 [Display adapter] replaced sata hdd w/ sata ssd about 6 or 8 months ago.

win10 pro 1809

2x now startup freezes with B/W broad bands on screen. Power off w/ power button extended press. Restart, OS seemed ok but broad vertical bars and flickering screen. Restart several times. Symptoms seem to have gradually disappeared while trying to find issue source. ie been online for about an hr now.
The 1st time the freeze occured restart went normally...about 2 months ago. today the restart w/ ghost bars and flicker etc.
So I'm wondering, monitor, graphics card?
Appreciate any help.

    Hi Drifty

When your system restarts,Hold Alt + Tap F10 you will get Advance Option> select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup settings > Restart. Again, once restarted, select option 5 to launch your PC into Safe Mode with Networking.

Next, press Win Key + X and click Device Manager. Click the arrow next to Display drivers to expand the category. Right-click your graphics card, click Uninstall device, check Delete the driver for this device and then click OK. Restart your system again.

    Uninstall display driver

Unchecked the driver software for this device

Thank you for reply! Before I do this, FYI I shut off and after a short while restarted 1. battery power...no problem and 2. AC power again no problem. Do you still think it's the driver?
    Again, Thank you!
