I have an Acer Aspire E11 E3-112-C455 from 2014. Recently it's been slower and slower to load up on start-up - once it took about 4 hours to load up and open.
But now it seems to have died a death.
On firing up the machine I have the "Acer - explore beyond limits" screen and the circular "loading" icon going round and round, and then after a long while the screen goes blank and the machine just goes to sleep - the left-hand blue data light just flashes orange.
Pressing any key will restore the flashing orange light to blue but the screen remains dead. Pressing F5 produces sound out of the hard drive but still no screen.
Does anyone have any ideas about how I might make it work? Even if it's just to download the data from it.

if you press alt+F10 keys at boot, are you able to enter windows recovery?
    I'm not an Acer employee.

    Thanks for the message.
Actually, with a great deal of perseverance, like sitting for half an hour with my fingers on ALT F10 I managed to make it wake up.
Using the "Reset" function in the advanced tools, I eventually managed to make it fire up at least into some kind of mode where I could access Windows Explorer and find my data files.
So even as we speak, I'm copying my data files onto an external drive.
Many thanks for your assistance - you've no idea how much I appreciate it.

Unfortunately not. The screen still displays the opening screen and eventually slides off into the darkness.
    Thanks anyway

ok, so i think it will be worth to try to backup your files and then try to wipe the HDD and re-install windows from scratch.
to copy your file, i suggest you this method:
