Hi,

I just bought a TC 885 a few weeks ago (the gamer version with i7 9700 etc...). In order to fix some noise issues I already changed my PSU for a Be Quiet Dark power pro without any problem (and i am really happy with it). Now i want to upgrade my Ventirad for a Be Quiet Shadow Rock TF 2 or Shdow Rock LP. In order to do that mod i need to access the back of the motherboard in order to install an adaptator. So my questions:

- Is it possible to remove the right side panel of the case and avoid removing the MB from the case ?
- As Acer motherboards aren't listed on bequiet compatibility list, may i expect some issues?

If someone already made that kind of mod and changed the ventirad for a good one, i would really appreciate some feedback (ventirad model etc...).

Cheeers  :)

It doesn't look like that comes off... You will have to pull the MB. I haven''t heard anything about compatibility, but I wouldn't expect there to be issues.

*****... Ok, i'm not sure i really want to unmount the motherboard etc... Maybe can i just switch the ventirad's fan for a better one like a bequiet and gain a bit of silence ?

That's a tough call... Too much silence tends to lead to overheating, since most of the noise is the air getting chopped up and moved around.

At the moment he CPU temperature seems ok and i don't put it under a lot of pressure (gaming is really occasional)  so i though that  maybe just switching for a better ventirad fan could bring me a bit of silence  :/
