Acer AN515-42 - NitroSense not working properly with updated AMD drivers.

I own an Acer Nitro 5, the AN515-42(The AMD variant). Recently, I had been playing Assassin's Creed: Origins, a very demanding game. It seems to be optimized more for Nvidia cards rather than AMD ones, because I get only 25-30 fps, with the GPU working at only 70-80%. It was rather discouraging, but being used to play on low-spec machines, I did not care much for it.
However, things changed when I updated the AMD graphics drivers from 19.5.1 to 19.9.2. Now I get 20% more fps, but when I checked the NS panel to see whether the GPU is at 100% or not, I face an entirely new problem. NS is showing me the temperature and the usage of the integrated GPU(Vega 8) instead of the discrete one(RX 560X). This had never happened before. So I had to roll back the AMD drivers to 19.5.1. Now NS shows me the correct GPU usage once again. But I have to play at low FPS again. :(
Anyone having the same problem? or anyone with a solution? Please help a fellow gamer out.

I have your model with 19.9.2 and it works fine if set up correctly.
Update back to 19.9.2 then do this

You have 2 GPU's and Nitrosense does not monitor the dedicated Vega 8 GPU only the RX560x discrete GPU. To have it monitor you need to import and launch your games from within the AMD Adrenalin Control Center

First click the Updates tab at the bottom left and make sure your graphics drivers are updated to 19.9.2  or higher and click express upgrade

Make sure High Performance is selected under Power Plan in Nitrosense when on AC

After that make sure your RX560x is selected in Switchable Graphics for your games and your games are set on High Performance, you must import your games .exe using the Browse tab in pic below

Lastly to run your game on the RX560x you must launch the game from inside the Radeon Adrenalin Control Center. Click the gaming tab then if your game is not there you will need to add your game's .exe by using the ADD button on the right and navigating to your games .exe file, then click the drop down box for your game then click launch. The game will now launch using the RX560x and it will be monitored in Nitrosense

@andylb, after doing what you suggested, I reinstalled Nitro Sense. But I am still facing the same problem.

As you can see, the GPU readings are fishy after playing half hour of AC:Origins. This was even after launching the game from AMD game panel. Please advise.
    Below is the game panel.

Nothing fishy about that. Nitrosense seems to be running perfectly and monitoring your rx560x, I have your model and that's about where mine runs when I game. I know some people report running hot but I never have. Congratulations your problem is fixed.

That is the problem. Its not showing the usage details. Its just monitoring the temperature(I think). The % usage of GPU is not working.
I think the problem is with the AMD drivers. Seeing as you have the same model, I think I'll try reverting the drivers to their previous version until I get a viable solution for this. Thanks tho.

In the Pic you posted shown below, it shows 44 deg temp and 9% usage at the time the screenshot was taken, again it is working exactly as intended. The bottom graph shows usage details and if you move and hover your cursor through the graph it shows precise details at any given moment during your game

OK, so I think you did not understand what my problem was. Yes, I know it shows precise details at any given point, so how about this.

As I am sure you can see from the orange-coloured map of the CPU monitoring, it was being used heavily at the time. That was the time I was playing the game. So why does it show my GPU usage to be 8% at the same time? I hope you get what I'm getting at, the temperature monitoring is OK but while playing a demanding game like Origins GPU usage cannot simply be 8%. It's just...wrong.

I understand perfectly. Your GPU usage was 9%, that along with the temperature is excellent. I don't understand why you want it to be higher. I have checked my usage using other 3rd party apps and it is correct

I've followed these steps and I still get no temperature or usage % showing in Nitrosense.  I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Nitrosense.  Not to be confused with the others here that have readings I cannot get a single part of the GPU to show in Nitrosense.

Its a 2017 game. I am playing it on high settings. It CANNOT be 9%. Before the update it showed readings of 80-95%, which were about correct. I think you misread my original question.
Nevertheless, AMD released the 19.10 drivers, and after updating NitroSense shows me the accurate readings now. So, thanks..I guess.
