I dont know exactly whats happening to my laptop, but everytime I open some of my apps, textures are pretty much distorted. I cant show a printscreen because the texture distortion is only visible from the human eye. My laptop is pretty slow as well, i dont know whats really the problem in with this laptop, and i cant see its full capability. microsoft edge is slow, each open of files are slow, textures distorted, cnt even play a game with high fps, all the solutions I found the internet, I did it already. BIOS is updated, i did it all and still slow as hell. if you guys have another idea how to solve this, please i need your help. By the way, this is the texture distortion. I hope some of you can help me get through this frustration.

Thanks!!

I have an515-42 RYZEN 5 2500U, gpu: Ryzen 560x wt vega 8 graphics and an 8gb ram (6.9gb usable ram since vega 8 graphics needs 1.1gb ram as said)

Ryzen 560x is equal to 1050? then why this laptop cant even run pubg on low settings :—/ wheres the full capability of this laptop?

It can run your game but we need to do some GPU setup after we fix your slow laptop

Have you done a battery reset? if not please do it
Unplug and turn off the laptop, take a straightened paperclip and insert it in the small hole on the underside, press for 10 seconds then let the laptop rest for 15 minutes, plug back in and restart.
If that does not help then reinstall windows. reboot and press Alt + F10 at the Acer logo

The battery reset trick often cures unusual problems so give it a try, if it doesn't work I would try the Windows reinstallation as I outlined above because you have tried everything else

Setup the GPU to run your games on high performance, it does not do this out of the box. You need it to use discrete the RX560x GPU not the dedicated Vega 8

I have done this, but the battery one is not. But it is still slow for me, or its just this already? but how come they tell me ryzen 560x is equivalent to nvidia 1050? 1050 is pretty strongk already. but this mine, ryzen 560x with 8gb ram, its pretty slow even when plugged in to power source. my csgo only reach 90fps and do not go beyond 90. I dont know why but i know someone will crack the code to break off the fps cap.

If I fixed everything with the battery reset ill let you know. If you have more to tell, go on, i might have not done them and might help me with my rendering and gaming experience.

    Thank you bro!

I have your model and I have no problem with speed or playing games. Please do the battery reset then let me know if it helped, after that we'll look at your GPU setup

Hi, i did it already, pressed the battery reset for a couple of seconds, did it twice to be sure. My laptops open and it seems like nothing has changed... can you tell me what exactly must happen when i open my laptop right when i press the power button?

The distortion is still there tho... but in some apps its not distorting i dont know why. last time i checked on ms word it has distortions. after some amd graphics configs, its fixed but my Garena and LoL is still distorting the textures out.

I'm sorry it didn't work, you unplugged and turned it off then pressed for a full 10 seconds then left it alone for 15 minutes before plugging in and turning on?

Yes, pressed it 10 seconds, did it twice. I also found out, custom scalling to the minimum (100) also increases my game fps, i dont know but the stock scale consumes a lot of fps. just saying. but if you have something that can help me in my gaming exp, please do tell me. Like your global settings, thanks man

Make sure the battery is charged to 100% BEFORE you game and Keep plugged in while you game. Make sure Windows is set to High Performance on AC power. Make sure you have the latest BIOS update

Make sure your graphics drivers are updated to this version or higher and click express upgrade

Make sure High Performance is selected under Power Plan in Nitrosense when on AC

After that make sure your RX560x is selected in Switchable Graphics for your games and your games are set on High Performance, you must import your games .exe using the Browse tab in pic below

Also you must launch the game from inside the Radeon Adrenalin Control Center. Use the ADD button on the right to add your game then Click the gaming tab and click the drop down box for your game then click launch. The game will now launch using the RX560x and it will be monitored in Nitrosense
